School for Little Witches

Thursdays March 20-May 29 (no 4/10) 3:30-5:30pm Lagunitas

School for Little Witches is a 10 week journey designed for a small group of 7-9 year olds. This class brings together basic earth wisdom knowledge with traditional skills of witchcraft and personal empowerment.

  • This class is arising out of witnessing and supporting my little maiden child, now age 7, in her explorations and fascinations with magick, mystery, power, and most significantly her connection to the earth and the rhythms and cycles of nature.

Inspired by her awe and wonder, and the openness of her spirit, I am calling on the AIR to give loft to her wings and her unique and wonderful song; the FIRE to widen her heart and strengthen her bright soul; the WATER to honor her tears, her joy, her rage, and her compassion; and the EARTH to hold and affirm the wholeness and beauty of her body. And I want to offer the same and more to your children.

The archetype of the witch invites and inspires the re-membering in our bones of a time when we knew the plants and the elements and unseen mysteries so intimately that we were in constant collaboration with them. I believe our children are naturally tapped into this knowing.

School for Little Witches is designed to support the children to trust their inner knowledge, build self-awareness, and open to the wisdom channels from nature. The curriculum builds off the wonder and curiosity already present with our little ones.

This program is playful while inspiring a mature focus and rigor as each child builds their capacities and personal power.

  • Marielle (she/her) is healer, teacher and ritualist on a path of awakening to truth. She is an initiated witch and Priestess under Abby Tucker of The Sovereign Path, and has studied extensively for the past 6 years in the Northern European and Celtic wisdom traditions of her ancestors.

Marielle is a certified Herbalist having completed Berkeley Herbal Center’s 2 year program in 2016. She was the founder and head herbalist of The Well Cafe in Oakland from 2016-2019, and has since produced a wide range of herbal medicinal products, as well as taught herbal medicine making classes. She is also a somatic practitioner weaving together touch work, movement, and ritual to support healing and transformation.

For the past 9 years, Marielle has been designing and guiding child and family focused seasonal rituals for the 8 High Holy days of the earth wisdom calendar. She also leads seasonal ceremonies and hikes for adults, seasonal daylong retreats, and  new and full moon circles.

Marielle has taught youth of all ages various forms of dance, leadership development, and social justice education. She has designed and led nature-based rites of passage groups for middle school girls, and guided wilderness adventures for teens. Marielle has been meditating for several decades and currently practices Buddhist Tantra with Anuttara Lakshmin Naht in the Sahajayana lineage, which centers elemental and forest practices.

Marielle defines a witch as someone who is deeply tapped in to her power and who works with the wisdom and intelligence of the elemental world and the mystery realm to serve our planet and communities. A little witch is one who carries that twinkle in the eye, who can feel the presence of that which can’t always be seen or touched, and who is ready to be known in connection to awe and wonder.

  • This is a 10-week class that meets on Thursdays starting on the Spring Equinox and completes at the end of the school year. Families are invited to join at 5:15pm on March 20th for a brief welcome and seasonal ritual, and on May 29th at 5:15pm for a closing seasonal ritual.

The cost for this class is sliding scale $400-500 and includes all materials, snacks, and teachers. Payment can be made in installments or all at once via venmo: @Marielle-Amrhein. If you want your child to attend and need to pay a different amount, please talk with me and we will find something that works.

Return to the Rhythms

We are remembering how to live in reverence & reciprocity with each other and the Earth as we steward land in West Marin. We create an oasis, growing food flowers and medicine. We tend soil and water. We move toward sustainability and food security with the sacred at the center.

Join us for 1 weekend or all 3 weekends in 2025 to tend land and spirit.

  • The garden and our bodies are busy and buzzing with life and sunlight. We tend with vibrancy and awe as we welcome in the fire element.

  • Join us for the first harvest from the garden and from the work of our souls. We will welcome in the water element, get dirty in the garden, make medicine, and churn the compost.

  • The garden has gone to sleep. What seeds of the year are we putting to rest, and which are we carrying with us to plant again? We welcome in the earth element and do the important work of letting die what needs to die and tapping in to the dreams of fertile void.
